The Hills of Romagna

Rimini > Santarcangelo > Coriano > Morciano > Mondaino > Rimini

The hills of Romagna present an endless source of opportunities for biking enthusiasts. The itinerary that we propose starts from Rimini, heads deep into the green heart of the Romagna region and finishes along the coast. For cyclists in the area, it is known as the « Road of Landscapes« , name inspired by the variety of scenery encountered along the way.

Covering a distance of just over 100 km with an altitude difference of 1376 m, it is a medium difficulty route accessible to everyone. Even less experienced cyclists can take on this challenge, with many opportunities for rest. Given the length of the route, good long distance abilities are required, alternated by a medium pace uphill.
Up to San Martino Mulino (km 22) the road is totally flat. Here, the route begins to climb slightly until the S. Ermete junction, where a number of ups and downs begin, with some sections offering 18% gradients, through Cerasolo, Ospedaletto, Coriano, S. Clemente and Morciano.

At km 55, we start a long ascent (8 km) to the village of Saludecio, with just enough time to catch our breath going back down, before we climb again up to an altitude of 400 m above sea level, in the vicinity of Mondaino.
Another easy stretch until the junction for Tavullia and then the last challenge in Monteluro. From here, we clock approximately 20 km back to Rimini, through Gradara and Gabicce Mare.
